Various Artists "Grindcore"

Grindcore is a Metal compilation, released in 1993 on Nuclear Blast.

The tracklist for the Tumult songs is messed up since the Intro and Chaos II were separated as individual tracks. The correct listing is above, on the sleeve it reads:

18. Intro/Chaos II
19. Chop
20. Mindless Slaughter
21. Outro

Ironically most of the bands featured on this compilation aren't Grindcore bands.

Various Artists "In Memory of... Celtic Frost (USA, Dwell Records, DWELL CD-1006)"

In Memory of Celtic Frost (Also stylized as In Memory... of Celtic Frost) is a tribute album to the seminal extreme metal band Celtic Frost. Released in 1996, it would be the first of several tribute albums curated by the North American label Dwell Records, produced by Rayshele Teige, Raul Caballero and Jerry Flores. Notably featuring numerous death metal and black metal bands from North America and Scandinavia, In Memory of Celtic Frost would also feature a handful of bands in other genres (Closedown being a shoegaze band while Morgion and Divine Eve would be death/doom acts.).

The tribute album would also feature the first published recording of Apollyon Sun (Then known as Apollyon's Sun), an industrial metal band formed by Thomas Gabriel Fischer in 1995 following Celtic Frost's initial disbandment in 1992.

Though 14 tracks are listed on the back cover and booklet, the CD only has 12 selectable tracks, with tracks 12 - 14 all put together as one unbroken track. Tracks 13 and 14 (Both of which would be Hellhammer covers) play out following a minute of silence. A cassette version was also released, formatted in similar fashion.

Tracklist
  1. Morgion - Innocence and Wrath / The Usurper (4:14) (Tom G. Warrior)
  2. Enslaved - Procreation (of the Wicked) (4:16) (Warrior, Martin Eric Ain)
  3. Slaughter - Dethroned Emperor (4:50) (Warrior)
  4. Mayhem - Visual Aggression (3:59) (Warrior)
  5. Inner Thought - Morbid Tales (3:41) (Warrior, Ain)
  6. Sadistic Intent - Return to The Eve (4:15) (Warrior, Ain)
  7. Cianide - Dawn of Megiddo (5:33) (Warrior, Ain)
  8. Divine Eve - Visions of Mortality (5:00) (Warrior, Ain)
  9. Grave - Mesmerized (3:19) (Warrior, Ain)
  10. Apollyon's Sun - Babylon Fell (5:42) (Warrior)
  11. Opeth - Circle of The Tyrants (5:15) (Warrior)
  12. Closedown - Danse Macabre (9:58) (Warrior)
  13. Silence (1:00)
  14. Emperor - Massacra (2:55) (Warrior)
  15. 13 - Triumph of Death (7:40) (Warrior)
Issued in a clear-tray jewel case, with a 12-page booklet. May have a hype sticker over the jewel case front.
Booklet contains a bio & photo for each band, an essay on Celtic Frost and credits.

Enslaved appear courtesy of Osmose Productions
Inner Thought Dwell/Witchhunt Recording artist
Cianide appear courtesy of Redlight Records
Divine Eve appear courtesy of Nuclear Blast Records
Grave appear courtesy of Century Media Records
Opeth appear courtesy of Candlelight Records
Closedown appear courtesy of Silent Records (11)
Emperor appear courtesy of Candlelight Records / Century Black

These errors are likely due to a mastering error:
-There is 1 minute of silence at the beginning of track 12.3 "Massacra".
-Tracks 12.1 to 12.4 combined are 21:34 in length, including the 1 minute of silence.
-The CD only has 12 selectable tracks, but 14 tracks are listed on the rear cover and in the booklet; tracks 12.3 and 12.4 are the 13th and 14th track.

Divine Eve "As The Angels Weep"

Formed in 1992, in 1995 they disbanded.

Hammack relocated to California and recorded the debut Divine Eve album under a new banner calling it Crimson Relic. He was accompanied by drummer Rhett Davis of Morgion and signed to the Nuclear Blast subsidiary Radiation Records.

Sleavin and Killen went on to form Infernal Oak in 1995 with Geoffrey Sawicky.

In early 2008, a reformation of the old Divine Eve moniker and line-up was announced, consisting of Michael Sleaven, Xan Hammack, and Matt Killen, with Scott Cooksey eventually joining on bass. For the time being, Matt Killen will not perform live with the band, but is still an integral part of the songwriting/recording lineup.
