Running Wild "Rapid Foray"

Rapid Foray is the sixteenth studio album by German heavy metal band Running Wild. It was released by Steamhammer Records on 26 August 2016. The album was delayed due to Rolf Kasparek's shoulder injury, and their subsequent show at Wacken in 2015. A lyric video was made for "Black Bart".

According to Kasparek, he recorded the vocals and guitars at his personal studio while Peter Jordan recorded guitar solos, drums and choruses. A total of three studios were involved in total for the recording process. He also gave mention that only three musicians took part on the album.

An enhanced limited edition digipak edition includes a double-sided poster and an exclusive Running Wild compass; available only on the EMP.de website

New Noise magazine called it a "full length full of sweet speed metal riffs, German rhythms, and fun righteous anthems, and that "the band really does feel as true to the vintage sounds off of their classic material." attributing a rating of Five stars.

Running Wild "Shadowmaker"

Shadowmaker is the fourteenth studio album by German heavy metal band Running Wild, released on 20 April 2012. It is the band's first studio album since 2005's Rogues en Vogue and the first since the band's return after breaking up in 2009.

Since the band's return to the scene, Rolf wrote 10 new tracks for Shadowmaker, among them are the midtempo opener "Piece of the Action", the uptempo number "Shadowmaker" (roughly the same pace as "Angel Of Mercy" from Rogues en Vogue) and the monumental eight-minute track "Dracula", based on Bram Stoker's novel and the Christopher Lee movies. In an interview, he talks about the album:
"To me, Shadowmaker is a very special album because there was no pressure, time wise or otherwise. I feel it's clearly audible that this relaxed attitude helped me to write one of the strongest Running Wild recordings of all time."

Bass and drums were recorded by anonymous guests.

The song "Me & the Boys" was originally composed for Rolf Kasparek's side project Toxic Taste.
