What Happens Next is the sixteenth studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on January 12, 2018 through Sony Music.

Satriani consciously went in a more simplistic direction than on his previous album, Shockwave Supernova - as opposed to an alien alter ego, this time he wrote songs “about a human being, two feet on the ground, heart pumping, with emotions, dreams, and hopes. That seemed to be the direction I really was yearning for". He referred to it as an 'internal artistic rebirth' and collaborated with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes and producer Mike Fraser.

It was recorded in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with Satriani abandoning progressive elements of his last two albums and utilising a more straightforward, accessible sound he termed "pure rock and soul".

Joe Satriani "Engines Of Creation"

Engines of Creation is the eighth studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on March 14, 2000 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 90 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and remained on that chart for three weeks, as well as reaching the top 100 in three other countries. "Until We Say Goodbye" was released as a single and received a nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 2001 Grammy Awards; this being Satriani's tenth such nomination.

Mixing for Engines of Creation took place in June–July 1999 and the title was revealed on December 13. A limited edition EP, Additional Creations, was released free of charge alongside the album in some stores. Worldwide touring began in the U.S in April–May 2000, followed by Europe in June–July, Central and South America in August, and concluding in the U.S. in December.

In a unique and notable departure from Satriani's usual style, Engines of Creation mainly features experimentation with electronic and techno music rather than the straightforward instrumental rock heard on his previous albums; Satriani has described the album as "completely techno." With the exception of "Until We Say Goodbye", all tracks were made using guitars recorded and mixed non-traditionally on computer platforms, as well as being digitally manipulated using synthesizers and computer software.

Alice Cooper "Hey Stoopid (Single & Video)"

"Hey Stoopid" is a popular single by American rock singer Alice Cooper that was the title track on the album Hey Stoopid. The song had success in the charts, reaching #78 in the US, #21 in the UK, #32 in Austria and a Swedish #5. It was the most successful single of the album; the other two singles being "Feed My Frankenstein" and "Love's a Loaded Gun".

Slash, Ozzy Osbourne and Joe Satriani make guest appearances on the song.

Joe Satriani "Crystal Planet"

Crystal Planet is the seventh studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on March 3, 1998 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 50 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and remained on that chart for eight weeks, as well as reaching the top 100 in five other countries. "Ceremony" was released as a single, reaching No. 28 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and notably featuring Satriani's first recorded use of a seven-string guitar, namely the Ibanez Universe. "A Train of Angels" was nominated for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 1999 Grammy Awards; this being Satriani's ninth such nomination.

Crystal Planet has been reissued twice. The first was on June 16, 2008 as part of the Original Album Classics box set, and most recently as part of The Complete Studio Recordings, released on April 22, 2014 through Legacy Recordings; this is a box set compilation containing remastered editions of every Satriani studio album from 1986 to 2013.
