Helloween "Better Than Raw"

Better Than Raw is the eighth studio album by German power metal band Helloween, released in 1998. The album spawned the singles "I Can" and "Hey Lord!".

The album was recorded at Chateau du Pape and Crazy Cat Studios in Hamburg and at Mi Sueño Studio in Tenerife. It was produced and mixed by Tommy Hansen at Chateau du Pape and mastered by Ian Cooper at Metropolis, London.

Released May 2, 1998 in North America.

"Lavdate Dominvm" is entirely sung in Latin, and its lyrics have been written by Michael Weikath with aid from his old Latin teacher Günther Dörnte "as a thank you for the warm welcome" that the "fans in Spain, Italy, Portugal and [...] South America [...] gave to the new Helloween lineup", as stated by Weikath himself in a 1998 interview.
