Shape of Despair is funeral doom metal band Shape of Despair's self-titled album. It was released on the 10th anniversary of the band's formation (counting the years the band was known as "Raven", from 1995 to 1998), but not in honor of the occasion. The album features previously unreleased songs and demos of older songs, while some of them are under the former moniker "Raven", as well as the new song "Sleeping Murder" that had a "guess the lyrics" competition.

The CD features rare and unreleased material from the group, including tracks from the band's first demo "Alone in the Mist" and a new song called "Sleeping Murder."
Track 1 is a new song recorded over a 4-day period at Sundicoop Studios, Savonlinna, Finland, in late March 2005.
Track 2 is an edited version.
Track 3 is a pre-version recorded in summer 1999.
Track 4 is taken from a promo tape recorded in October 1998 at MD-Studio.
Tracks 5 and 6 are taken from "Alone In The Mist" demo, recorded in January 1998 at Arkki Studio.
Track 7 is taken from a rehearsal tape, recorded in 1995.
