Coroner "Death Cult (2014 Reissue, Limited Edition, EU, No Remorse Records, NRR047)"

Coroner is a Swiss thrash metal band from Zürich. They garnered relatively little attention outside of Europe. Formed in 1983, the band broke up in 1996, but reformed 14 years later.

There was already an earlier incarnation of Coroner formed between 1983-1985 with Marky and Oliver Amberg playing some sort of Mötley Crüe-styled music. According to Oliver Amberg, the band played several gigs and recorded one demo in 1983 with Amberg on vocals, bass and guitar and Marky on drums. This is also mentioned in the "Rewind" documentation, where also the cover of the demo is shown and bandpictures are displayed (plus some music played in the background).

In early 1985 the band split up and was reformed by Marky few months later with a new line-up as a thrash metal band known as Coroner again and with the same logo as the old band.

The members of Coroner were originally roadies for Celtic Frost. They eventually cut their own songs, recording their demo Death Cult in 1986 with Tom G. Warrior of Celtic Frost on vocals.

Death Cult is their second demo, released 1986 and reissued in 2014.
