Angkor Wat "Corpus Christi"

Angkor Wat si an American Thrash Metal band, formed in 1986 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Angkor Wat was an integral part of the DIY hardcore punk scene that took root throughout south Texas during the mid-late '80s.

Angkor Wat issued two albums with Metal Blade/Death Records and were known for the energy of their shows, which they shared with the likes of Cryptic Slaughter, GBH, the Accused and Suicidal Tendencies. Their Texas peers also included Devastation, Rotting Corpse and the Fearless Iranians From Hell.

The band broke up in 1991, but saw a reformation in 2018.
