Windir "Arntor"

Arntor is the second studio album by Norwegian black metal band Windir. It was released on 11 October 1999 through the record label Head Not Found. It is the last record released with Valfar playing the majority of the instruments.

"Svatasmeden og Lundamyrstrollet" is the story of an old tale from Sogndal, Valfar's hometown, about a blacksmith and the Lundamyrs, a Troll's home.

The song "Arntor, Ein Windir" is based upon an old folk song.

Song title translations:
1. The Beginning
2. Arntor, a Warrior
3. The Burial Mound of King Hydnes
4. The Blacksmith and the Troll of Lundamyri
5. The Struggle
6. The Longing
7. Ending

The album cover is in fact a WW2 era propaganda poster spread by the Nationalist Nasjonal Samling of Vidkun Quisling. The original poster reads "Mot Lysere Tider" ("Towards Brighter Futures" in Norwegian).

Distributed by Voices of Wonder Records.

Comes with an 8-page booklet.
