Thor's Hammer "May the Hammer Smash the Cross"

The band's name is a reference to the weapon of the old Norse God Thor (Old Icelandic Þórr). The Thor's Hammer symbol, often worn on a necklace, became a symbol of Heathen identity when Christianity started to become dominant in the Scandinavia of the late Heathen period.

Thor's Hammer disbanded in 2003. Capricornus has stated that he has expressed everything he could with the project and felt no need to continue with it.

May The Hammer Smash The Cross is their second album, released May 2000.

Track 4 is dedicated to the brave nation of Serbia.
Track 6 lyrics taken from Ragnar Redbeard's "Might Is Right".

Recording information:

Recorded on DSP Studio in winter '99.
Intro composed & performed by Rob Darken of Graveland.
