Arcturus "Constellation"

Constellation is the first EP released by Norwegian experimental black metal band Arcturus. It was released in only 500 copies on CD on 14 August 1994, through the record label Nocturnal Art Productions.

Three years after their debut single My Angel (1991), Arcturus released the EP Constellation. The recording represents a shift towards more experimental black metal than the more gloomy black metal style of My Angel.

The four tracks were later re-recorded for the band's debut album Aspera Hiems Symfonia (1996). In 1997 Nocturnal Art Productions issued a limited edition 12" vinyl of the Constellation EP, backed with the My Angel single and two new tracks. A bootleg Reconstellation came out in 1999 with four additional tracks. Arcturus released a considerably remastered compilation entitled Aspera Hiems Symfonia/Constellation/My Angel in 2003. Kyrck Productions & Armour issued two limited edition CDs of the 1997 12" together with five previously unreleased rehearsal or pre-production versions of early Arcturus material.

Anathema "Distant Satellites"

Distant Satellites (stylised as distant satellites) is the tenth studio album by the British rock band Anathema. It was released in June 2014 via Kscope.

The album was recorded at Cederberg Studios in Oslo, with producer Christer-André Cederberg, with some songs also mixed by Steven Wilson due to an operation on Cederberg's back.

The artwork was created by Korean new media artist Sang Jun Yoo, and based around his "Distant Light" installation.

The band released a statement on their new album prior to its release:

distant satellites is the culmination of everything ANATHEMA been working up to so far in our musical path. It contains almost every conceivable element of the heartbeat of Anathema music that it is possible to have. There is beauty, intensity, drama, quietude, and extra musical dimensions that the band have previously only hinted at. All built on the song writing chemistry of Daniel, John and Vincent - and the haunting voice of Lee Douglas.

Distant Satellites received positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 80 based on ten reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". The album ended the year at the 9th position of the 2014 Metal Hammer best albums list, as well at the 2nd position from Metal Hammer writer Adam Rees.

Anathema "Universal"

Universal, a live album, was released as a double vinyl album on 24 June 2013. The album is a recording of a special one-off gig at the ancient Roman theatre of Philippopolis in 2012, where the band were joined by the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra. The set was released on Blu-ray, DVD and CD under the name Universal, with an alternate track order, on 17 September 2013.

Anathema "Weather Systems"

Weather Systems is the ninth album by the British rock band Anathema. It was released on 16 April 2012 in Europe via Kscope and 24 April 2012 in the US via The End Records. The band describes the album as "not background music for parties. The music is written to deeply move the listener". The album was recorded in Liverpool, North Wales and Oslo, each place significant to Anathema's past, present and future. The record was produced by band members Vincent Cavanagh and Daniel Cavanagh, as well as Christer-André Cederberg.

Recorded and released between the departure of Les Smith and the full-time joining of live member Daniel Cardoso, it is the first album of the band to not feature a full-time keyboardist since Judgement in 1999.

The album's official track list was announced on 2 February 2012.

In the special edition, both discs come in a limited pressed hardcover digibook like their previous albums: Hindsight, We're Here Because We're Here, and Falling Deeper. Kscope store also has the standard jewel case edition with the album on CD format and no DVD. The American version of the album comes in a digisleeve.

The special edition DVD can only be found on the European pressing directly from Kscope. Also, the DVD features the album in 5.1 surround sound.

Terrorizer noted that the album had "a lot to live up to" following We're Here Because We're Here. The review noted that the songs on Weather Systems are "not instantaneous" as the previous album, but its highlight is the way it decides to gently ebb from a dreamlike state in songs like 'The Beginning And The End' into the huge crescendo of 'The Lost Child' and elating release of 'Internal Landscapes'." and concluded that "Is it another masterpiece? Of course it is."
