Tormentor "Anno Domini (2007 Reissue, Saturnus Productions, STN001)

Anno Domini es el primer y más exitoso álbum de la banda de Black Metal Tormentor y sigue siendo la base de su fama . Contrariamente a la idea errónea generalizada, no es un demo, es un LP.

En 1987, de manera increíble, Tormentor recibió una oferta para editar un LP del único sello estatal en ese momento. El trabajo de estudio comenzó en noviembre de 1988, las grabaciones se completaron en dos semanas y el álbum quedó listo después de la mezcla. Sin embargo, hubo problemas con el sello y finalmente resultó que el álbum no podía publicarse.

Sólo quedaron unos pocos casetes de las grabaciones y, afortunadamente, también se hizo una copia de la cinta maestra en un videocasete, pero este último se perdió y algunos de los casetes restantes se copiaron a amigos cercanos. Estos empezaron a extenderse, llegaron al extranjero y tuvieron influencia en los grandes del estilo, como Mayhem o Darkthrone .

En 2015, Anno Domini fue incluido en la lista de los álbumes de metal húngaros más influyentes.

Por tanto, la edición original prevista para 1989 fracasó. Más tarde, el guitarrista de Mayhem, Euronymous, se ofreció a editar Anno Domini a través de su propio sello (Deathlike Silence Productions , para abreviar DSP), que finalmente no se materializó debido a su muerte en 1993 (más precisamente, su asesinato a manos de Varg Vikernes).

Finalmente, Anno Domini consiguió su primer lanzamiento en 1995, gracias a Samoth , guitarrista de Emperor , que también tenía/tiene un sello, Nocturnal Art Productions. Sin embargo, esto sólo se logró a partir de un casete copiado. This version has improved sound quality from the original master tape which was found a few years earlier, as compared to the 1995 version by Nocturnal Art Productions which was mastered from a dubbed tape.

"Introduction" is a version of the main title for the horror movie Phantasm (1979), directed by Don Coscarelli.

Tormentor "The Seventh Day Of Doom "(1997 Reissue, Remastered, H.L.K. Productions, H.L.K. 002/H.L.K. 002)"

Tormentor is a Hungarian black metal band formed in 1986 in Budapest. 

They recorded their first album, Anno Domini, in 1988, but were unable to release it until the end of communist rule in Hungary. 

The album reached Norway through the tape-trading community. Following the suicide of Per Ohlin, Mayhem invited Attila Csihar from Tormentor to join the band; he was to perform the vocals on De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. 

Tormentor split up in 1991. After a long break they reformed and released the more experimental Recipe Ferrum through Avantgarde Music in 2001, going on a long indefinite hiatus afterwards.

In 2017, Tormentor reunited after several years to re-emerge on the stage for a highly publicized reunion show on 21 April 2018, in Budapest, followed by an appearance at the Brutal Assault in Josefov, Czech Republic and the Beyond the Gates festival in Bergen, Norway, with later performances at festivals in France and Canada to cap off the year.

The band reunited in the classic lineup from 1988 with Csihar on vocals, Tamás Buday and Attila Szigeti sharing guitar duties, György Farkas handling bass guitar, and Machat St. Zsoltar on drums. The band's own recording imprint, Saturnus Productions, has also reissued both the cult classic debut album Anno Domini and The Seventh Day of Doom demo on CD and vinyl.

Sear Bliss "The Haunting"

Sear Bliss is a Hungarian atmospheric black metal band from Szombathely, formed in 1993 by bassist, vocalist and now also keyboardist András Nagy. Apart from the usual heavy metal instruments they adopted synthesizer and wind instruments (like trumpet and trombone sometimes flute) in their songs. The Netherlands' leading metal magazine, Aardschok awarded Sear Bliss debut album Phantoms the title of "CD Of The Month". It was the first (and only) time in the magazine's history that the award went to a black metal album.

Sear Bliss has earned a reputation in the European metal underground with their unique black metal albums released by independent record labels like Mascot Records, Red Stream and recently Candlelight Records. Sear Bliss shared the stage with bands Marduk, Tsatthoggua, Mortiis, Tormentor, Skyforger, Immolation and Malevolent Creation.

After four months of studio work, the longest session ever in their career, the sixth Sear Bliss album was released on September 24, 2007. Critically acclaimed The Arcane Odyssey was awarded "Album of the Month" by some magazines (i.e. Zero Tolerance) and was also high ranked by Kerrang, Terrorizer, Heavy Oder Was and Rock Hard magazines in Europe. The album was elected for "Album of the Year" on the Hungarian Metal Awards in 2007.

Sear Bliss played their first European tour supporting Marduk in February–March 1997. After finishing the tour the Csejtei brothers left the band and Winter also got out soon afterwards. Recruited new members were Zoltán Schönberger on drums and Viktor "Max" Scheer on guitar, furthermore keyboards were taken over by trumpeter Szűcs. The next album had been recorded at Beaufort Studio, Netherlands, but the band was disappointed with the first version of the mix and it had to be remixed.

The Haunting (1998) became a more atmospheric and varied album in contrast to the fast black metal tracks of the Phantoms album. The Haunting disappointed some old fans, but it appealed to new enquirers. The opportunity to tour for three weeks with the Norwegian melodic black metal band Ancient and promote the new album in Europe had come to nothing because of the private activities of Sear Bliss members in school and job. However, they celebrate their 5th anniversary with a birthday party in Budapest.

By releasing The Haunting album Sear Bliss fulfilled the Mascot contract, so a new label needed to be found. To support the search they recorded a 4-song promo CD in March 1999. But other member changes followed. Previously they parted with guitarist Viktor Scheer, then founding member/guitarist Barbarics and long-time trumpeter/keyboardist Szűcs quit due to personal conflicts within the band. In that time Sear Bliss played live with fill-in musicians, and only founding member Andras Nagy and drummer Schönberger were officially in the band. A new guitarist Andras Horváth P. would join Sear Bliss soon.
