Contraband "All The Way From Memphis (Single & Video)"

"All the Way from Memphis" is a single released by Mott the Hoople as the lead track from the album Mott in 1973. The song tells a story about a rock and roller whose guitar is shipped to Oriole, Kentucky, instead of Memphis, Tennessee.

Contraband covered the song on their self titled debut album.

Contraband "Contraband (Japan, Impact American, TOCP-6703)"

Contraband was a short-lived supergroup/side project that included members of several famous rock bands from the 1980s, such as Shark Island, Michael Schenker Group, Ratt, L.A. Guns, and Vixen.

Contraband came to be after a Vixen and Ratt unplugged session on MTV.

The band released only one self-titled album in 1991 which received lukewarm reviews. The album was a commercial failure and the band disbanded shortly after, while touring with Ratt. The song "Loud Guitars, Fast Cars, and Wild, Wild Livin'" was included in the movie If Looks Could Kill soundtrack. In the US, the album charted at number 187. Their cover version of "All the Way from Memphis" appeared on the UK record chart in July 1991. "Loud Guitars, Fast Cars & Wild, Wild Livin'" was later covered as "Loud Guitars, Fast Cars & Wild, Wild Women" by Blue Tears later in the early 1990s and released for the 2005 album Dancin' On the Back Streets.

Ratt "Way Cool Jr. (Single & Video)"

"Way Cool Jr." is a single by the American heavy metal band Ratt. It is the third track on their 1988 album, Reach for the Sky. It reached number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song's lyrics focus mainly on a handsome, charismatic young man leading the high life while dealing in illicit drugs.

Ratt "Body Talk (Japan Single & Video)"

"Body Talk" is a song written and recorded by American heavy metal band Ratt. The song is primarily written by Ratt's bassist Juan Croucier. Ratt's guitarist Warren DeMartini had the song's opening riffs for years. However, no one was able to develop it into a song. Under a very tight deadline (one day to be exact), Ratt bassist Juan Croucier stepped in. He wrote all the vocal melodies and lyrics, adding additional chord progressions to the one riff that had been around for years. The song title was apparently conceived of by Ratt producer Beau Hill or vocalist Stephen Pearcy.

It appears as the fifth track of their third full-length album Dancing Undercover and the eleventh track of their compilation album Ratt & Roll 81-91. It was also used as a soundtrack for Eddie Murphy's film The Golden Child. The video was added on MTV in late '86, while "Dance" was still in heavy rotation. The song was written by Ratt vocalist Stephen Pearcy, bassist Juan Croucier and guitarist Warren DeMartini.

Ratt "Dance (Single & Video)"

"Dance" is a song by American heavy metal band Ratt. It is the first track off their 1986 album Dancing Undercover and the tenth track of their compilation album Ratt & Roll 81-91. It reached #59 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was written by Stephen Pearcy, guitarists Robbin Crosby and Warren DeMartini, and album producer Beau Hill.

The single was featured in the Miami Vice Season 3 episode "Down for the Count" in 1987.

In the music video for the song, the band is invited to perform by the master of ceremonies (played by comedian and actor Dick Shawn) during a brief interlude at a rock music show at the famed Whisky a Go Go. Ratt is initially reluctant, but the band relents and performs.

Ratt "You're In Love (Single & Video)"

"You're in Love" is a song by the American heavy metal band Ratt. It is the first track on the group's 1985 album Invasion of Your Privacy, and the second single released from the record by Atlantic Records.

"You're in Love" was co-written by Ratt bassist Juan Croucier and lead singer Stephen Pearcy.

Featured on Season 2 Episode 9: "Flashback" of the Freeform series, Alone Together.

The music video for the track features several love scene clips from classic movies and cartoons. The beginning of the video shows a clip from the movie Santa Fe Trail. Additionally, the video includes a scene where guitarist Robbin Crosby catches an undergarment from a female audience member after she throws it on stage.

The concert footage in the video was shot on Friday, August 9, 1985, at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, and on Saturday, August 10, 1985 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The song hit No. 89 on the Billboard and No. 34 on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks chart.

Ratt "Lay It Down (Single & Video)"

"Lay It Down" is a single by American glam metal band Ratt. It was the first single released to promote the group's second album, Invasion of Your Privacy.

The song was co-written by Ratt vocalist Stephen Pearcy, bassist Juan Croucier, and guitarists Robbin Crosby and Warren DeMartini.

It appears in the video game Brütal Legend, during the third battle against Lyonwhyte.

The music video shows lead singer Stephen Pearcy as a child (played by Whit Hertford) having a birthday party with a young girl sitting next to him. After he makes his birthday wish and blows out the candles, he sees a vision of the future in which his grown-up self and his band plays in what looks like an abandoned building. He sings to his now grown-up girlfriend to win her heart. The video ends with the girl asking him what he wished for.

The woman in the video is Playboy model Marianne Gravatte, who is also the model on the cover of Invasion Of Your Privacy.

Lay It Down" reached No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 11 on the Mainstream Rock chart during the summer of 1985. This made it Ratt's second and last Top 40 Pop hit.

Ratt "Wanted Man (Japanese Single & Video)"

"Wanted Man" is the first track on American heavy metal band Ratt's album Out of the Cellar. It was also featured on the soundtrack for the 1985 film Weird Science. The song was composed by Robbin Crosby, Stephen Pearcy, and Joey Cristofanilli (who was briefly filling in for full-time Ratt bassist Juan Croucier), and it was the second biggest hit on the album (note: "Back for More" did not qualify for a chart position since it was not an actual single release), reaching number 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 38 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

The music video for the song is based on a wild west theme. In the video, the band members are a group of wanted men also known as "The Ratt Gang," the name being taken from a line in the song. The band members end up getting into a gun fight with another gang of cowboys who were also up to no good.

Ratt "Round And Round (Single & Video)"

"Round and Round" is a song by American heavy metal band Ratt from their 1984 album Out of the Cellar. It was released as a single in 1984 on Atlantic Records.

The song's style has been widely described as glam metal.

In the song's music video, Milton Berle (uncle of Ratt manager Marshall Berle) plays both the staid head-of-household as well as the family matron (echoing his famous cross-dressing stunts of the 1950s). Both characters seem perturbed by the loud volume of Ratt's playing, and quickly leave the table.

Meanwhile, a seemingly shy yet attractive young woman (played by Lisa Dean, who would later turn up in the video for Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana") is drawn by the music to the attic. On the way upstairs to the attic, her dress and wig fall off, and she gives herself a makeover. The woman appears in the attic as a completely different person, and begins dancing to the song.

At the end of the video, the butler is dressed as a metalhead and excitedly dancing to the music in a separate room.

The song's video was placed on New York Times list of the 15 Essential Hair-Metal Videos.

"Round and Round" is Ratt's biggest hit single, reaching No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984. The tune was ranked number 51 on VH1: 100 Greatest Songs of the '80s and was named the 61st best hard rock song of all time also by VH1.

"Round and Round" was used in season 1 of the series Supernatural and season 2 of the Netflix series Stranger Things. It was used during season 1 of Cobra Kai. The song was also used in the end credits for Billy & Mandy Save Christmas and in the 2008 film The Wrestler. It was also featured in the rhythm video game Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s as a cover, and as a master recording in Guitar Hero Smash Hits and Rock Band 2. It was also featured in GTA Vice City Stories in Radio Station V-Rock

In a 2020 TV commercial for GEICO, a young couple explains their new home has a Ratt problem—not a rat problem, as would be a much more likely complaint for homeowners. The band is seen singing "Round and Round" in various parts of the house. The song charted again, reaching #18 on the Billboard Rock Digital Song Sales Chart on June 4, 2020.
