Broken Hope is an American death metal band from Chicago, Illinois.

Broken Hope was founded in 1988. They were known as an accomplished mid-paced style death metal band with low-pitched growling vocals. As a band, they were active for roughly twelve years, recording five albums between 1991 and 1999.

Repulsive Conception is their third album, released April 17th, 1995.

"Recorded 11/94-1/95 by Choice Productions for KH Communications" is printed in the liner notes, but according to Brian Griffin the actual studio used was Quali-Tone Studios and this info was meant to be deleted. Choice Productions became Quali-Tone Studios during the recording of this album. KH Communications was not used at all.
