Angantyr is a Danish Black Metal band, formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1997.

Angantyr started as a synth/ambient project in 1997, but quickly developed into a raw black metal band in 1998.

Angantyr was the name of three male characters from the same line in Norse mythology, and who appear in Hervarar saga, Gesta Danorum, and Faroese ballads.

Hævn is their third album, released April, 2007.
