For all tid (English: For All Time) is the debut studio album by Norwegian black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It was remastered and re-released in 1997 with their new label Nuclear Blast with the front cover art in full color and the entire Inn i evighetens mørke EP added. It is the band's only studio album on which Shagrath is on drums, Tjodalv on guitar and Silenoz on vocals.
The artwork displayed on the front cover of the album is inspired by Gustave Doré's illustration of Camelot from Idylls of the King.
Released during winter 1995, though some sources (among them the Nuclear Blast reissues) claim it was available in December 1994, which seems unlikely, considering that the album was finished recorded that same month.
Limited to 1000 handnumbered copies. First 300 copies came with poster.
All music by Dimmu Borgir.
On the original release Stian Aarstad is credited as a session member only, and he is not pictured in the booklet. On the reissues he is credited as a full member and he is also pictured in the booklet.
"Raabjørn / Gråbjørn" is an archaic Scandinavian word for the general "grey bear".
Recorded at Stovner Rockefabrikk, August/December 1994.
