The band's name was suggested by Thorsten "Havoc" Weißenberger and is taken from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Middle-earth" lore, where Ever-eve or Evereven is a poetic name of the Aman region.
The band was founded by Tom Sedochenko (vocals), Stephan Kiefer (guitar), Thorsten Weissenberger (guitar), Stefan Müller (bass), Marc Werner (drums) and Michael Zeissl (keyboard).

EverEve appeared for the first time on a split album by the band Parracide . With another demo tape, they signed a contract with Nuclear Blast , where they debuted with the album Seasons 1997.
