The Sun of Tiphareth is the second full-length studio album by black metal band Absu. It was released on Osmose Productions in 1995.

"The Coming of the War" originally composed by Trent White (Morbid Scream) but here was re-adapted by Proscriptor.

May 2006: Collector’s Edition Picture LP Re-release on Agonia Records.

Warning - Osmose CD presses dating from February 2001 and later may contain a copy-protection method which renders the CD completely unreadable in PCs and certain modern Hi-Fi systems. This isn't indicated anywhere on the packaging.

Re-released in 2013 by The Crypt as a 3LP set limited to 666 copies (222 each on Black, White and Blue vinyl). LP one will feature the original 1995 sound recording. LP 2 will feature an brand new 2012 remix of the album sounding as the band originally intended and LP 3 will features The Sun Of Tiphareth – Rehearsal Session: 1993. Also included in the set is an exact replica of the original "..and Shineth Unto The Cold Cometh..." 7" EP with the original layout and original master audio files being used.

Recorded under the 1994 enchantment of the Dumuzi Apzu in September at Reel-To-Reel Studios and in October at Goodnight Studios - Dallas, Texas.
